​Welcome! I’m Heige S. Boehm, the founder of Crow Story House, and I am passionate about helping individuals unearth their inner writer, one story at a time. I know there are more people like me than not, people who are struggling to make their writing dream become a reality. 
I believed that I could never be an author because I thought that you had to be born a writer and have a university degree to be an author. However, there was a deeper truth for me: English was my second language, and like my father, I struggled with it. This fact resulted in me sidestepping my dream and any profession or education where writing would be required. Instead, I wrote in secret because I was too ashamed and felt too vulnerable to share my stories. 
It was through letting myself be vulnerable, that I stepped out of my fear, and in 2010 I was accepted for mentorship by Betty Keller, an award-winning author and editor. It is because of Betty's ongoing guidance that I attained my dream of being a published author and gained the confidence to achieve much more. 
At Crow Story House, I will guide you to achieve your dream of being a writer. I know what it takes and the obstacles that will arise as you follow that dream, but you can be assured that I will guide you to unearth your inner writer. I’m passionate about stories and the people who tell them. We all need mentors and I strongly believe in nurturing the writer in you. 
​My first novel Secrets in the Shadows was published by Ronsdale Press 2019. 
My goal for Crow Story House  is to foster a community of writers, a place for individuals to connect, and be inspired.
